    :

When fishing during the fall schooling activities, we like using the JA Jigheads rigged with a 4″ Curly Shad to simulate small shad. These jigheads w/ this type set up cast like a bullet even in the wind, and ripping up and down on a swimming retrieve or vertical jigging up and down will flat put bass in the boat. We fish these from late September through December in 12-18 feet depths where the Bass are schooled up prior to winter in the River. The grooves in the head hold the soft plastic Curly Shad well and we have caught as many as 200 Bass per day on these baits with the above type rigging in the fall. Paint on these heads is very durable and strong, with only the rocks or 500 teeth marks making any type of scraping. The white or chartreuse heads work well here in stained water, but the unpainted heads also work well in clear water simulating shad and minnows. Mike Siefert, Millwood Guide Service.
